How to prove your batteries are original new?

All of original new batteries have a QR code on them and people can track them by scaning the code. Used cell is no longer able to tracking the QR code, even no QR code on it.

What is the difference between on-grid and off-grid?

On-Grid Systems tie directly to your utility grid, selling an alternative source of energy in addition to what your utility company provides.Off-grid systems do not tie to the utility grid and are sustained using a battery bank. The battery bank can be hooked up to an inverter, which converts DC voltage to AC voltage allowing you to use any AC appliances or electronics.

If the battery is fully charged, how long will it last?

It depends on what you are running on it. If you have a few lights on and you' re watching TV, doing some cooking, then the battery will last about 12-13 hours for 5KWh. But as soon as you add a big power consumer, like air-conditioning or a dishwasher, you are going to drain the battery much more quickly. It can then last around three to four hours.

If you have single phase power and there' s a blackout, you can potentially back up the entire house–as long as you' re not running more than 5 kW of continuous power.

Should the battery be outside or inside?

It should go in a covered area, like a garage or a shed. We like to have it close to the electricity switchboard too.

What kind of battery do I need if I don' t have a grid connection?

Whether you are using solar power and are connected to the grid or you don' t have a grid connection at all, you need a back up source of power for night use or cloudy days.

If you are connected to the grid and have three overcast days in a row, you will not have enough generation to power the house or charge your battery. So you need the power from the grid.

With an off-grid system you are going to need an inverter system including solar panels and other for those overcast times. But you will also need off-grid capable batteries for back-up for your over time work and emergency moments when the power supply from public is in shortage and limitation.

What' s the life span of a battery?

We measure the life span in cycles, which is a complete discharge and recharge of the battery. BICODI batteries come with 6,000 cycles, or over 10 years, if you do one cycle per day. The difference is because of the cell chemistry that the batteries use. So the warranty of BICODI battery for home storage is about 10 years.

The advantage of the BICODI is that it' s easy to install and the software does everything and it can do back up power for blackouts. It' s also great value for money. Most customers prefer the BICODI batteries because it checks all the boxes and compatibility with most major brand inverters.

Do I have to switch the battery on if a blackout happens?

There are 2 main factors to consider when reviewing the best types of battery; the first being its internal chemical composition, and the second is the connecting system. Although specifications of batteries can vary, it is always necessary to review the correct sizes and voltage requires for each individual task.

What is the Cyclic Life of a Solar Battery?

The lifespan of a solar battery is determined by the number of cycles it can use. A battery cycle is defined as the number of times a battery can be fully charged and discharged before they reach the end of their functional life.

Cycle life specifications can vary substantially depending on their internal chemistry. Fortunately, lithium-ion batteries, which solar storage units primarily use, have the greatest number, typically having 4000-8000 cycles within their lifetime.

In practice, a solar battery may be used four times at 25% to reach one full cycle, provided the DOD of the battery in 100%.

How many Solar Batteries does it take to power a House?

There is no universal answer to this as there are diverse energy requirements for different houses. Whilst a large 4-bedroom detached house will nearly always use much more energy than a small bungalow with only 1 bedroom, the energy consumption may disproportionately differ for reasons such as the bungalow resident using numerous electrically demanding appliances frequently whilst a family in a 4-bedroom detached house may be far more conservative in their energy usage. Most energy guidelines revolve around the principle of “the more electricity you use, the more solar panels you will require to offset this”.

It is advisable to review your homes previous yearly energy usage, with specific reference being made of your electric bills. The average 4-person house uses approximately 3,600 kWh of energy per year, however, depending on the appliances and devices used, the frequency of use, and the number of users will significantly affect the kW' s used.
